On Sunday in the "Crochet Corner" Sharon was teaching the ladies how to make the Fish Tail blanket that has been vey popular for the NICU's as it lays nicely in the cots.
Sharon has kindly recorded a brief video explaining the stitch which can viewed on our YOU TUBE channel (please subscribe so you can get immediate updates) and here is the LINK. We are new to recording videos for our group so please excuse the "amateur" quality, we will improve.
Sharon has noted here the pattern and related information.
The size of this blanket is 45cm x 60cm before the border. This requires a basic knowledge of slip knot, making a chain, and Double (or Treble in UK terms) Crochet stitch. We use a size 5 hook and a single strand of yarn (see below for how many chains to start you off depending on which yarn you are using).
Here are some that have been made and donated.
Blankets do not need to be washed before handing them in as we wash and pack all donations.
If you have any queries please ask.
