Looming up a Large Beanie

After making a few of these oh so adorable baby beanies you might be feeling like taking it up a step and making a large beanie for someone special in your life.

I have been asked many times what size loom to use. Here is a graphic chart that might help you out.

Remember that if you using the E-Wrap stitch (that is the one we use for the YKAM beanies) then remember that it will have a fair bit of flexibility to the sizing however if you have been getting adventurous and looking at some videos on rib stitches or U-Wrap or Pearl then these are a more hugging stitch.

Also if you decide to use a "chunky" yarn then you may need to use only one stand.

How to choose the right size loom ... this video might help ...

There are many videos on line that can help you with some different types of stitches.

Maybe try TUTEATE and LOOMAHAT as both have A LOT of different videos for beginners.

In the New Year we hope to expand some of the items we are donating to the hospital and these will include larger beanies for children and adults.

Thanks for stopping by ...
